Interesting 21st Century
As I look about in this 21st century I have some real concerns. We are living in a time when just about anything goes. There is much spiritual warfare to disrupt and divide traditional marriages and many families at large. Division and divorce is ravaging the homes of many. The meaning of family for many has been redefined and the principals of love, commitment, loyalty and respect have been too often laid aside. Life is precious and God created us to seek Him first and to enjoy a rich, full life!
Worldly politics, espionage and undercover manipulation has merged and integrated its way into our homes our families as well as our worship services. Many do not even really realize that this is the case. No need to be troubled but yes, concerned and aware. God really does have everything under his control. God who is supposed to be the center of our lives as Christians has been set aside on way too many occasions. Pray for those who bring about division.
Do you know what is the most precious valuable important gift you can ever give your children? The greatest gift that you can give your children is not something you can buy. It is a loving, nurturing, balanced, safe, disciplined, secure home environment where God’s principles are welcomed and embraced. Not at all in a legalistic rigid fashion. In a way that they know without a doubt that you love them even when you must discipline them from time to time. If your children are adults they still need you to remind them of who they are in the Lord.
In order for this to happen you first have to be committed to His way yourself. Begin to spend quality time with the Lord and in His WORD then daily implement His principles in your life. No matter how old we get. In the eyes of the Lord we are still His children. God has no grandchildren. We must be open to learning new and creative ways to improve ourselves as well as the lives of those around us. Jesus gave His life that we might live to please the Lord! Is the Lord your Shepherd? Jesus came so that we “May have life to the full. I AM the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. ” John 10 Life is precious and God created us to seek Him first and to enjoy a rich, full life!
Yes, these are some interesting economic times. Many have been impacted and faced many challenges. Well at least I know I have. I can truly say apart from any of the seasonal obstacles ( because it is only for a season) I cannot complain because God has truly been good to me! Regardless as to what happens in the world we must seek Him first above all else! He always has a limitless reservoir and a plethora of resources to sustain and keep us! I also realize that our trials come to make us STRONG! I also know that God is still in control of everyone and everything! He allows things to be for a season. You must continue to TRUST GOD! “ Seek ye first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself….” Matthew 6
Take some time and take a personal inventory. Is your life going in the direction you intended? Is your marriage and or your family life in need of improvement? Are you seeking a spouse? If so do you value the same things? Or you escaping and… Has life thrown you a curve and you have wandered away… You may need to take some time and recommit? You may just need to shift and reorganize your priorities! Remember GOD LOVES YOU! This does not change when you wander away! Or, are you just rolling along with the current trends or whatever is popular and become complacent? If there were no downs, how would we know about being UP! This is why we need Jesus Christ daily as our personal Savior! God has a plan for the lives of each one of His children. Life is precious and God created us to seek Him first and enjoy a rich, full life.
If you are not a believer, I want to encourage you to come aboard! Do you want to receive Him into your heart? His WORD says: “That if you CONFESS with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and BELIEVE in your HEART that GOD raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your HEART that you BELIEVE and are justified , and it is with your mouth that you CONFESS that you are Saved!” This is just the beginning. Now as His child you must begin to develop and ongoing relationship with Him. Now as a newborn you must begin to learn how to walk. Once you do this life takes on a whole new meaning.
Yes, as I said before I realize that there is a economic recession going on. No, you cannot change anything that has happened. But you can start right where you are and move forward by walking in the Light if His WORD. Begin to embrace and sincerely commit to His principles. As you do the Lord will “give you the PEACE that surpasses the understanding of man.” Remember you have been given His Comforter. “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you ALL things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14 God has many ways, means and resources that will still help you to have an exciting, fulfilling, satisfying life regardless of what goes on around you or whatever is happening in the world! Life is precious and God created us to seek Him first and to enjoy a rich, full life!
