Fervent Prayer over inferior evil powers
EXORCISM and DELIVERANCE
Part II
Love is powerful! “God is Love!” The Lord’s presence is necessary for spiritual healing to take place. Deliverance & Exorcism are forms of spiritual surgery! God the Master Surgeon is able to remove or exorcise the unwelcomed presence! In order to pray in the Spirit and intervene when one is bound by evil spirit(s) it is ALWAYS necessary for one to be spiritually centered! Spending time with the Lord in prayer and consecration is important! This is really nothing to play with! One must become a usable vessel of sanctification for the Lord! This is a time of passionate sincere focused petitions of prayer! One must first examine themselves and humble themselves before the Lord! Confess and ask God’s forgiveness for any known or unknown sin that may hinder them from hindering the process of deliverance. Keeping in mind “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18
One must pray and ask for the infilling presence of the Holy Spirit. “And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, and they spoke the WORD of God boldly.” Acts 4 Jesus promised us that He would dwell and be with us and teach us. John 14 We are sealed with the promise of His Holy Spirit! Ephesians 1 The Holy Spirit is the Ultimate Counselor who guides us to ALL TRUTH. John 16. The Truth sets you free!
DISCERNMENT
The discerning of spirits is a God given gift bestowed upon some with the ability to recognize when a presence is not of God. It is most helpful! This is not a subjected guess. But it is a revelation that comes by Divine authority. “to another FAITH by the same Spirit, to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the DISCERNING of spirits…” I Corinthians 12
FASTING & CONSECRATION
Fasting, praying and sanctification again before, is part of the preparation process. This should be the case whenever we serve and minister for the Lord! It is important that one should meditate on the Scriptures fervently and dedicate consecrated time in preparing to read them. We serve a Holy God! We want to do everything decent and in order! Remember the Word is “Alive!” Many Scriptures from the Psalms and other Books of the Bible are All pertinently relevant! Here are few for starters:
Psalms 91 “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty...”
Psalms 92 “It is good to give Thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to your name, O Most High; To declare Your loving kindness in the morning, And your Faithfulness every night…”
Psalms 93 “The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established…”
Psalms 97 “The Lord reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitudes of isles be glad! Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.”
Psalms 103 “Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His Holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul!”
Psalms 105 “Oh give Thanks unto the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him…
Psalms 108 “O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.”
ANOINTING & LAYING on of Hands
The anointing of oil and laying on of hands in the name of The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit are always appropriate. Both are symbolic of The Divine influence! The oil nor the hands have any power in themselves. It is a show of support and request for a “Touch” from the Lord in only a way that He can and that His WILL be done! “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in Him, “If you abide in My Word, you are MY disciples indeed. And ye shall KNOW the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free...” John 8. Let us remember to give Thanks and REJOICE in ALL things! “O give Thanks unto the LORD for His mercy endures FOREVER…”
The “Apostles Creed” is a bold statement of FAITH! Faith is the key that unlocks the door to heaven. “Without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11
“I Believe in God the Father Almighty, The Maker of Heaven and of earth and in Jesus Christ the only Son of our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate was crucified died and was buried. The third day He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, The Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints. The forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body for life everlasting, AMEN!
It is important that we keep in mind that God is absolutely and utterly aware of everything everywhere! There is a continual attempt to compromise and water down the Truth of God’s Word! Because of this there is much division in His Church. Many have been and continue to be deceived. “The Spirit clearly says that in latter times some will abandon the Faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons…” I Timothy 4. False teaching and teachers serve to attempt to undermine the credibility of GOD’s Church and is a great cause for much of the demoniac activity that goes on… The entire Bible is God’s inspired Word. It is our safeguard against false teachings! “I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His namesake. I write you fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning, I write to you young men , because you have overcome the wicked one, I write to you because you have known the Father. I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.” I John 2
We as God’s children, His Universal CHURCH are faced with this army that wants to destroy and defeat Christ’s CHURCH the body of believers! In ourselves we are no match! Through the power of His Holy Spirit we can accomplish much working together in unity in the name of Jesus! Only Christians are given the authority over demons! We are in need of the ongoing infilling presence of His Holy Spirit and the spiritual armor! The battle is not ours it is the Lord. In HIM is the VICTORY the war has already been won! The gates of hell will not prevail against GOD’s HOLY CHURCH! Matthew 16.
Alpha & Omega are the first and last letters of the Classical Greek alphabet signifying God is the Beginning and the End, meaning He is Eternal! The Scriptures say: “I AM The ALPHA and the OMEGA, The Beginning and The End. The First and The Last. Blessed are they that DO His commandments and they shall have a right to the tree of life… The GRACE of The Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Revelation 22.
To GOD Be the GLORY!

Very powerful hub. May the Holy spirit give you more strength to write more
"We as God’s children, His Universal CHURCH are faced with this army that wants to destroy and defeat Christ’s CHURCH the body of believers!" "The gates of hell will not prevail against GOD’s HOLY CHURCH!" AMEN!! DeBorrah, AMEN!!
Satan uses effective weapons to weaken the body of Christ, yet GOD continues to overrule Satan's attempts. No amount of demonic temptations, possessions, attacks, or persecution will obliterate the Church of Christ.
God has richly blessed you with spiritual power and I praise Him that you are using it for the benefit of all His Spirit directs to your hubs as well as your ministry. I am blessed that it pleased God that I should have found you. All glory to God!
Forever His,
Keep spreading the GOOD NEWS. The world needs to know that help is available in any circumstance. There is no problem too big or too small.
Thank you sister for this valuable information. I think despite Jesus is Victor still problem for many is lack of knowledge.
This is wonderful-thank you.
With so much confused information out there it is good to see something so wonderfully Scripturally based. You have handled this subject with the seriousness it needs but have (thankfully) left aside the hype and sensation that so many attach to their teachings.
I have bookmarked both of these hubs and hopefully will learn to do what UnchainedGrace is doing...I think many will benefit from this and it is good return reference for others.
Blessings to you
UlrikeGrace
The bible talks about the war of churches, and all the down falls and the prophecy is already happening all of the world That why we have to stay in the word to know what to exoect. Thank you Lady D. for a very informative and enlighten hub. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you. creativoen59
Thank you this is so good, thank you so much
I would like to see more Christians writing on the subject you have taken on because there is little knowledge of it in the church body. Laying on of hands is a thing that requires anointing and sanctification. There are some people I will not allow to lay hands on me if I don't discern an anointing on them to do so. When we intercede with prayer and laying on of hands we must be able to know which to affectively pray. Asking questions to the person who needs intercession it the key. There are different prayers to pray for different circumstances. For instance, you got to know if you need to pray a command, which would be for healing or a demonic spirit or if you need to do a petition prayer. This discernment if crucial since you may be praying the wrong prayer if the person says, I need prayer for a personal situation or for an unspoken request. We need to be able to do this end time work and it be visible to the world. I know a lot of preachers or altar workers who would crawl up under the pew if a real demon manifested in a person. Pray for our ministers to be equiped and empowered to do the works of Jesus. It's time to stop playing church and having leadership that is grandstanding without real power. Keep writing sister because the Holy Spirit has put this word in you! May God bless you and give you the knowledge and instructed tongue to write more and more of His truths!
Wow...Praise God! This hub is anointed.
Thank you Jesus...
When you say this is nothing to play with, DeBorrah, it is true. This is why King Saul evicted witchcraft from his kingdom. There are very real spirits out there that can take over and inhabit people - and their presence comes through in obscene violence, depression, hate, rage, and lust. I know people like to say they pray - but - the Scriptures do tell us about fervent prayer and fasting. Fasting is often a forgotten element, it is a humility the Holy Spirit finds pleasing. In Act 19, there is the famous exorcism that went bad - Yahshua I know and Paul I know, but who are you? That is the last things you want an evil spirit saying to you because they are about to show their dominon over weak faith. Anointing and fervent prayer and fasting all work together to strength the Spirit in us, to resist and fend off the spirit in them. It is much more than just confidence. It is much more than determination. It is seeing what can't be seen, exposing what is not exposed, and then silencing what otherwise is not silent.
Even thinking of King Saul again, when he lost the Holy Spirit, he was a mess, and he needed the one with the Holy Spirit to come and play music for him in order to calm him. There is great power in passive content faith. It is a force even the devils tremble before. Both hubs were really good. Peace.
DeBorrah
Thank you for your second article on the same subject. Not many churches practise exorcism. I was in Australia a couple of years ago, and an old friend told me that he knew only about three churches practise this, our church, the Catholic Church and his church, which I forget the name. It is a fairly new church in Melbourne and I have visited it. It consisted of quite a mixed different ethnic groups.
His church sent out ministers to go out and cast out evil spirits in groups of two or even more. It is a hard job to accomplish. Have you seen the picture called The Exorcist. I saw it many years ago. If your faith is not strong enough, the evil ones may enter you instead.
I have encountered the three women who were exorcised and two other incidents held in the church. The only last two incidents were group incidents. One was an Italian lady who had been raped by her brother-in-law. I saw her eyes and they were very evil looking. The third incident involved a Vietnamese student who was brought to Toronto from Edmonton. The prayer for casting out was carried on two occasions. She was on the floor sliding from one end of the church to the other side and furiously hitting her legs and flinging her arms in the air. She stayed in the minister's home for a couple of days. Eventually, she was alright and finished her education.
Praise and thank the Lord for the wonderful healing which was unforgetable. All glory to the Lord Jesus Christ!
Thanks for the part 2 of this Hub. I'm glad you emhasise we should live in ways pleasing to God. Its a message we need to hear everyday as we face challenges daily.
On the issue of laying of hands - I will be honest with you.... these days, I don't let anyone just lay their hand on my head. This is because of things I have seen, certain pastors in Africa etc. It's good and the bible ordains it, but not every Pastor is a Pastor. Some pastors have their feet in 2 worlds. They might be healing but it's not with God's power. If it's someone I have known for a while and my spirit agrees with them, then I don't mind laying of hands.
Oh... you set me off again but it's an encouraging Hub.
Hope you enjoy Service tomorrow, Sunday.
Best Wishes.
Great hub, Deb. I used to have a friend who swore she sometimes saw ugly demons. I've never seen one, but I have felt the presence of evil. It exists!
Great piece! A touchy subject so temperately crafted. Thank and more anointing.
DeBorrah, You really have opened my eyes as to writing hubs. We hear so much about writing hubs to make money, of course we know we need financial resources to survive, but I appreciate how you are using hubpages to teach and spread the Word, as well as creating a stream of income. May the Lord Bless you! You have encouraged me to write more about God's Grace, Goodness, and Mercy, and turn more toward the Lord and not focus so much on just the money.
it is very informative ty.
Nice collaboration with itakins DeBorrah. God bless.
I noticed some comments about displays of strength and effects like in the movies.
"The Exorcist" is fiction even though it may be based on actual events.
Those displays come from a lack of understanding of a few scriptures...
Ps 18:44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
Lk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
There is a situation wherein there is some acting up going on...
Ac 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
That was caused by not being a believer.
Demons leave based on...
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
After all, they already start from a position of weakness...
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
They're terrified to start with.
This is very interesting. But as you say, it is nothing to play around with. God Bless you for discussing a little about it. God Bless you Dear Heart.
Grea job as always, DeBorrah K. Ogans. I just love your spirit! Voted-Awesome!!!!!!!

OK. This time I get to be first. I waited all night because the Lord told me Part II would be written tonight. DeBorrah, this is excellent work and 100% true. It is true deliverance ministry at its finest and I thank you for handling such a touchy and misunderstood subject so well!
I'm going back to my profile now to add this one right under the first one and then Stumble it like I did the last one!!!
