Revelation is an incredibly mesmerizing book about the present, the future and what is to come! Here we can find Hope for NOW and in the future! John prolifically writes as he shares his vociferously illuminating intense visions while horrendously banished to the isle of Patmos! At some point in time life as we know it will end! It may be hard to fathom but one day the Lord is going to put an end to evil. Jesus Christ will emerge in the clouds suddenly and victoriously! “For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven, with God and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” I Thessalonians 4.

Revelation is a powerfully complex book of prophecy. But how did it all begin anyway? Step back with me a bit to the very beginning. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the face of the deep, and the Spirit of the God was hovering over the waters. And God said, Let there be Light and there was Light. God saw that the Light was Good and He separated the Light from the darkness...” Genesis 1. (here you will find the rest of The Creation history) From the beginning of time Light was separated from the darkness!

“Then God said, “Let us make man in our own image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them ...” Genesis 2. When God placed Adam in the garden with it was much freedom as well as dominion over the animals! He was told to work and take care of the land as well. Adam also named all the animals! No doubt that Adam was a genius of a man! God told Adam; “You are free to eat from any tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” Genesis 2. God could have very well just not let Adam eat from the tree, but He gave Adam a choice! Now we know God created the first man! NO! We did not evolve from apes! Read on if you need more proof!

God decided it was not good for Adam to be alone so He made Eve! “But for the man there was not a suitable helper found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall in a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, He took one of man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord made a woman from the rib He had taken out of man, and He brought her to man” Genesis 2. This is also the first surgery! Truly God is the Doctor of doctors! Here as well is the first marriage! By the way, God’s design for marriage has not changed!

God did not make us to be robots! From the very beginning God has given us the ability to choose. Here is a vital significant imperative life lesson! God adamantly told Adam “DO NOT” eat the fruit! He listened to Eve and went against what God said! The serpent, (satan) said to Eve “Did God really say, you must not really eat from the fruit in the garden?” Since the fruit was good and pleasing to the eyes and desirable Eve ate the fruit! Then gave some to Adam he ate it as well… Here enters sin! The rest is history! Time after time all throughout history in every subsequent generation when man does what God says “DO NOT” it always results in chaos! Instead satan makes one doubt what God really said! Or they simply choose to not listen and “do their own thing!” This is why it is so important to know the Word!

Here in Revelation the last book in the Bible, we discover what happens when what we have come to know as “living,” will come to an end! Genesis is the beginning where it all started. There is so much in between! I suggest spending some time in the Word just getting to know more about life and many of the events that have taken place! The Scriptures are powerful, “ALIVE” and full of wisdom!

John in Revelation himself predicts Jesus’ announced return to the earth! It has been of late predicted that the end of the world is coming in 2012. Somewhere between December 21 and December 23 in 2012; there are going to be transformative events that will take place. According to a Mayan long count calendar after 5,125 years the end of life as we know it will take place? It is believed that astronomical alignments combined with possible numerological formulas have contributed to this highly probable end of the world event! 2012 is actually a leap year starting on a Sunday of all days!

Patrick Geryl, a laboratory researcher believes as well that the end of life is slated for 2012. He has started a “survival group” of both men and women who share his belief! Believing that we are due for catastrophic events he quit his job in preparation for this forthcoming event? He has been gathering a hoard of survival equipment. His group will build cement dwellings and caves…

He believes there will be absolutely nothing left! “First, a polar reversal will cause the north to become the south and the sun to rise in the west. Shattering earthquakes, massive tidal waves and simultaneous volcanic eruptions will follow. Nuclear reactors will melt, buildings will crumble, and a cloud of volcanic dust will block out the sun for 40 years. Only the prepared will survive, Geryl said, and not even all of them…” There are many throughout the world that share his belief that the end is coming in 2012 a doomed apocalyptic event being inevitable! Geryl maintains a website on this subject!Revelation is a series of prophetic visions it is the book of consummation! In the Greek the title of this text is called Apokalypsis Ioannnou = Revelation of John, which means “unveiling, disclosure or revelation” Revelations is noteworthy Apocalyptic literature! It is the most cryptic book in the Canon of Scriptures! What will the end be? Will it be a collision with a gargantuan galactic asteroid causing a colossal fire? Will it be a thermonuclear war? Will the ozone layer entirely deplete? What about the dreaded threat of global warming… Yes it has been predicted that the end of the world is coming in 2012. Many others have made predictions before and they have come and gone! We are still here! Despite all the various hypothetical possibilities no one knows when that time will be! But at some point the end will come! This world is not our final destination, we are pilgrims passing through! John announces and predicts Jesus’ return to the earth! He really gives us all some things to think about! Are you a believer? Revelation is a good place for each of us to take time for personal private inventory! What if the Lord where to return today! What would you do, or say? Is your house in order? Are you ready to meet the Lord?

The Bible points to all the signs that will take place. At some point, time, as we know it will be no more! Jesus’ second coming will be short and quick! This is what the Word says; “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, not the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill: one will be taken the other left.

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this; if the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.” Matthew 24.

Regardless of what anyone says they cannot predict the end of time. We are told to live each day as though the Lord was to return. If each one of us took a look at our lives to see if we are living in accordance with the Lord and applied His principles I am sure we could all make some improvements! Instead today numerous supposed believers look to the world and its influences for direction instead and let it define for them what is right! We have allowed the world to shape and mold our lives, our homes as well as our worship services to the Lord! Lord Help us!

Let’s step back again and observe the events surrounding the first time the world was destroyed. As the population increased men laid aside God’s principles and did what they felt was right. “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. He had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on the earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, I am going to put an end to all the people, for the earth is full of violence because of them. I am going to surely destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself and ark of cypress wood… Noah did everything the Lord commanded” Genesis 6.

Notice when Noah was building the ark it had never rained! During this time he was ridiculed and isolated because of his adherence to be obedient to the Lord! Imagine there were multitudes of people on the earth at this time. They did not really believe that the end was coming? Only Noah and His family actually survived the flood! We know next time it will not be another flood to end it all. The rainbow in the sky is a sign of God’s, Promise to us! “Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbows appear in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.” Genesis 9.

If you are one of those who do not believe in satan or hell now is the time to read the Word of God! Do not wait like those who drowned in the time of Noah because they did not believe it was going to rain and a flood was coming! It happened!

If you are saved you have no need to worry! If not, do you want to be saved? Do you want your children saved? Take some time and Read the Word for yourself! What is a few hours each day in comparison to an eternity of torment? Jesus came to save us to take back what satan stole! He came that we might have life! Eternal life is a gift that can only come from Him. He is the only doorway to heaven there is no other way!

Hades is another name for hell in the Greek it is a place for the underworld. It is the place for the dead or again sheol. Jesus has power over the grave as well as the power to forgive sins. He is the Creator of life. Since He made life He can surely restore it. He raised his close friend Lazarus from the grave after being dead for four days! Please listen attentively with your spiritual ears. Witness the Power and Love of Jesus firsthand for yourself as told in His WORD:

“When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw Him, she fell at His feet and said, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in Spirit and troubled. Where have you laid him, He asked. “Come and see, Lord, they replied. Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”

But some of them said, “Could not He who opened the eyes of the blind man kept this man from dying? Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave and a stone laid across the entrance. “Take away the stone, He said. “But Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been here for four days.” Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if I believed, you would see the GLORY of GOD?”

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here. That they may believe that you sent me.” When He said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped in strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” John 11.

Knowing that the Lord’s return is imminent we should live in a continuing preparation mode! Seeking Him above all else! God knows our hearts, thoughts, actions and desires! God knows who is pretending and who is not! In the end He will separate the sheep from the goats. He will reveal the wolves in sheep clothing! Jesus is coming back! We can always have hope knowing that we belong to the Lord andn whenever we leave here we live eterenally with Him! You can be confident of this when you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior!

Like it or not there will be eternal punishment in the lake of fire which is hell or Gehenna. This is where those who refuse to accept Jesus Christ and repent will spend eternity! The bible talks about sheol meaning the place of the dead “The grave snatches those who have sinned.” Job 24. It is named after a valley in Hinnom which is near Jerusalem. Here children were sacrificed by pagans in the fire to idol gods. II Kings 23. Abortion is a modern form of sacrificing babies! Many children today are sacrificed via abortion. ) Here is an eternal fire prepared for satan and his imps or angels, the final place of torment for the wicked. Revelation 20. If you are one of those who do not believe in satan or hell now is the time to read the Word of God! Do not wait like those who drowned in the time of Noah because they did not believe it was going to rain!

If you have ever doubt the power of the Lord and His compassion and His power over life and death… Doubt no more! This is an extraordinary astonishing miracle! The Word of God is full of marvelous miracles, practical wisdom and instructions for life and exuberant living! Jesus came and fulfilled His purpose on earth. The religious leaders sought to undermine His pure intentions. Because of this miracle even more people flocked to Jesus! They were intimidated even more so. Jesus exposed them for what they really were! Rather than repent and accept Jesus they elected to secretly plot against Him. They used one of his disciples, his supposed friend to betray Him which resulted in Him being crucified. From this He himself emerged victoriously as well! "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee: The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again..!" Luke 24. "It is better to obey GOD rather than man!"

We all need Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord! In order to be saved from sin reigning in our lives! Jesus purpose on earth was to show others the Way to Salvation! Our purpose in life is to show others the Way to Salvation through Jesus Christ! “He is the Way the TRUTH and the life!” We have learned Genesis records the beginning of the Creation history of the Bible. Revelation records the end; starting with a new glorious beginning in the magnificent Holy City, New Jerusalem!

Revelation describes the exquisite brilliant bravura city as made of translucent gold with the total absence of evil! Here shines the Glory of God in our perfect final home! No matter what happens on earth; God is Sovereign! We have a marvelous astounding breathtaking eternal home awaiting at the appointed time! Only God knows when that time will be! Let’s get busy living each day for the Lord! Revelation ends; “And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this book. He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon” AMEN! Come Lord Jesus. The grace of God be with HIS people. Amen!

JESUS CHRIST second coming is sure and imminent it will be swift and sudden!!! Revelation is a Valid Prophecy! Jesus Christ is the ALPHA and the OMEGA, He IS the Beginning and the End! HE IS THE MOST HIGH GOD! To GOD Be The GLORY!
