Part II

We have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus! We must learn to fully trust that God our Father and Creator really knows what is best for us. He gave us His Holy Spirit, His Comforter to help us so, “when you walk in the Spirit you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.” Remember there is an ongoing war between the spirit and the flesh! When you really commit to the Lord’s way there will definitely be some spiritual warfare launched against you. Yes! You will still be able to enjoy many things in life! But you will have to live life on a deeper level.

Think about this for a moment! God knows who and what you need. He has promised to “supply ALL of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.” Remember Jesus was here from the very beginning. The “earth is the Lord’s and everything in it...” The work of the Holy Spirit is to help us go through life challenges and Rejoice in knowing God as the ultimate Father. To illuminate our path and open our understanding to what the Word of God is saying to us! “We are more than conquerors with the Lord!”

Upon the profession of your faith and the acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal Savior; You cannot just continue to live the same way. Some things must change. If you have an addiction. God is able! For some you may be delivered instantly for others it may take a lot longer. For others it may require a visit to rehab! You must begin to allow the Lord to relieve your inner pain rather than stay addicted! Allow the pain to come to the surface without anesthetizing yourself. God really does know everything that has ever happened in your life as well as everything you have done. He truly loves you. He is LOVE! Some of those bad habits at some point must begin to go by the wayside.

The first thing someone usually says is well; “Nobody’s Perfect.” We are not talking about flawlessness. We are talking about becoming complete. WE must not hide behind excuses. We must do all that we can to allow your NEW nature to become dominant! To begin move towards consistently surrendering to the Lord and gaining control over your flesh. You know if you are getting better, growing spiritually or basically staying the same? It’s not really about trying to present a picture to someone. Its about letting who you were created to be emerge! God knows the TRUTH!

Now, you must begin to exercise self control and not just say anything or do anything you feel like doing. There is a plethora of words in the dictionary to choose from. We are not to let sin reign or control and overtake our lives. Yes, we must abide by the laws of the land. Yes, things happen that are beyond our control. Yes you may slip up but don’t stay there. First and foremost we are now children of God. “In the world but not of the world.” We are to exercise self control which is part of the Fruit of His Spirit. When things get out of control and are beyond our control; as Carrie Underwood sings we can now let “Jesus Take The Wheel” of our lives. This is true no matter where or who you are.

Take some time and see where you are in your relationship with the Lord. What is The Work Of The HOLY SPIRIT? Is there something missing in your life? Do you ever feel alone? Do you just go along with the majority when its not right? Do you need more peace in your life? You cannot undo anything that has happened? Nor can you change anyone. But you can begin to go through the rest of your life knowing that you have a constant companion, readily available to help you make better life decisions. Jesus wants you to enjoy life. The family of God is vast, universal and forever growing. God did not create us to be like someone else. Praise God! He has a place that only you can fill! We have been given the amazing wonderful gift of eternal life that goes on throughout forever… Remember He came for you to have a rich, full abundant life? Commence to praise God daily for our victory is through Christ Jesus! His marvelous precious gift of His Holy Spirit is given to us for a purpose. Jesus is alive! His Word is alive! He lives in us! His kingdom is at hand! We can call on Jesus at anytime and anywhere to save us from allowing sin to reign or take control. Does this mean that everything will work out? No and yes. The enemy will try and wreak havoc in your life. Initially things may even get worse before they get better.

Be prepared for you will be faced with many obstacles, a lot of opposition and much spiritual warfare. Much of it will come from those who you may probably have least expected? Know life wants to distract you from your true purpose! Even during these times of a global economic recession regardless of what your station is in life, it is your position in Christ that is of the most importance. What Is The Work of The HOLY SPIRIT? There are significant benefits as the Fruit of His Spirit begins to manifest in your life. Your perspective and perception deepens, your focus becomes different. Your discernment and sensitivity becomes sharper, there is now more clarity, you become more responsibly prudent and you are not so easily fooled or towed right along. It also means becoming sanctified, set apart. Please know that this does not mean the same thing as becoming religious. How is this? Now you have discovered you are a “living sanctuary.” You now live to discover His right way of living. Although you might be considered as a sheep to be slaughtered or insignificant, you now know that “In all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” You can pragmatically comprehend and realistically see Him through your spiritual eyes all around you in so many different ways. You also know that you are never alone!

Life becomes beautiful even when it becomes difficult. You can boldly speak the Truth in love, because you know that God is Love! It tremendously helps to know what God says about love. God’s Truth sets you free! Sometimes you even have to understand when no one else does. You may also have to stand when no one understands you. Sometimes you just have to quiet. “Be STILL and KNOW.” You now have an awakening in your soul! You will discover that your real, genuine, authentic security and significance is in knowing Him! Your desire now is becoming to begin seeking to please Him above everything else. This is what it means to “Seek ye first His kingdom and His righteousness.” Asyou begin to seek the Lord first you also begin to learn how to lean and trust Him more. According to Romans 14 “The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating or drinking, but of righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit because anyone who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God…”

When life’s burdens becomes unbearable just know He is a burden bearer. BE ENCOURAGED GOD HAS GOT IT UNDER HIS CONTROL! God promises are All true and He has promised “That in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose...” What is the work of the Holy Spirit? Life becomes an adventurous journey as you learn to live to please the Lord. You are never alone! His Holy Spirit is always there to help become your Navigator, Friend and Guide. This is true when His purpose in your life becomes your purpose! “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of His Holy Spirit .” Romans 15. To God Be The Glory!
